A New Space to Create: The Well Loved Craft Room

“Update: Available now – come and try the simple design tool”

Well Loved Journals has always been about more than journals themselves. It’s been about slowing down and making space for creativity in everyday life.

Soon I will be opening something new — a small creative space within the website, shaped with that same intention.

Introducing the…

The Well Loved Craft Room will be a quiet place for making. It’s not a shop and it’s not a course — it’s simply a space to explore ideas gently, without pressure or expectation.

Access to the Craft Room will be available, initially, through newsletter subscription, and it’s being created as a place to gather inspiration, tools, and creative starting points over time.

A Simple Journal Cover Design Tool

One of the first things you’ll find inside the Craft Room is a journal cover design tool.

It has been designed to be easy to use, especially for those who find traditional design software overwhelming. There is no empty screen to face — a background is already in place, offering a starting point rather than a blank page.

You can design your cover using a curated selection of vintage-inspired images, ready to place, layer, and move around as you wish. The focus is on gentle composition and visual play, rather than technical skill.

Designed for Ease

This tool is about arranging what you love in a way that feels right to you. It invites curiosity rather than perfection, and encourages you to take your time.

When your cover feels finished, you can print it at home or save it for your own creative use. It’s designed to work with simple printing setups, making it easy to turn a digital design into something tangible.

A Space to Begin

The Well Loved Craft Room is new, and it’s being shaped with care. For now, it will exist as a calm starting point — a place to explore, and begin.

Over time, the Craft Room may grow and change, always with the same gentle approach at its heart.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this new chapter of Well Loved Journals.
