Gothic Halloween Junk Journal Pages + Free Printable

What’s on My Desk: Gothic & Halloween Journal Pages (Halloween Freebie!)

Autumn Creativity in Full Swing

Autumn has a way of shifting my creative desk into moodier, more atmospheric projects. As the days get shorter and the evenings turn crisp, I’ve been reaching for darker tones, vintage illustrations, and anything with a slightly haunted edge. This week, my desk is scattered with gothic-style journal pages — the kind of papers that practically beg to be stitched into a Halloween junk journal or used as backgrounds for mysterious, layered spreads.

The designs are full of aged details: crumbling stone gargoyles, antique frames, skulls, and deep ink-black covers that remind me of old storybooks. They’re perfect for adding a little drama to your journaling — whether you use them as full-sized pages, cut them down into tags and pockets, or tear them into collage layers.

Let’s Create Together

I thought it would be fun to make this a little group challenge — a way for us to create side by side, wherever we are.

All you need to do is download the freebie, print it out, and make something with it. No rules, no pressure — just a chance to play with paper and see where your creativity takes you.

How to Use the Freebie

  • Print the sheets on cream or lightly textured paper for an authentic vintage feel.

  • Back them with tea- or coffee-stained paper for double-sided pages.

  • Cut them into journaling cards, tip-ins, or envelopes.

  • Layer them with lace, vellum, or old book text to create spooky, gothic spreads.

Share What You Make

Let’s inspire each other! If you create something with these pages, I’d love for you to share it.

  • Post your work on Instagram and tag me @well_loved_journals
  • Or use the hashtag #WellLovedJournals so we can all see what everyone is making.

A Final Touch of Inspiration

Whether you put together a full Halloween junk journal or just add a few moody touches to your everyday book, I can’t wait to see what you dream up.

Happy making,
Natalie 🍂
